Manifesting and Creating a Vision

Updated: Mar 1, 2019

It’s really easy as a busy college student to get caught up in to-do lists and have-tos. Falling into a monotonous schedule is redundant, but comfortable. Staying in your comfort zone is always the safe move, but seldom gets you where you want to be. To break up your schedule and get out of your routine, it’s important to have a vision. Creating a vision board is a helpful tool in manifesting positive energy to feel more motivated and productive during the every day hustle and bustle of college.

Recently, I decided to work on my vision board to set both short- and long-term goals. Envisioning these goals, putting them on a physical board and working to make them a reality is an area of my life that I am passionate about. I hung my vision board right above my bed, so I can reflect on it before I fall asleep every night.

My vision board includes goals related to my career, leadership positions in both Jacht and my sorority, Chi Omega, fitness goals and more. I have quotes that motivate me to achieve more. Others remind me of the importance of gratitude, which I’ve also incorporated into my daily life by keeping a gratitude journal. This has completely transformed my mindset and life. It’s made me happier and more appreciative of all the good in my life. When I’m having a rough day or need to pull some inspiration, I will read my journal and it will instantly improve my day.

Manifesting positive energy definitely takes practice, but by doing so you are able to pull from it to make your goals a reality. Creating a vision board is one way to manifest and zone in on what inspires you. There’s a reason we are in college and it goes far beyond simply having a degree in hand. By recognizing my passion for making connections with people and creating content that improves lives, I am able to radiate positive energy that will hopefully be infectious to others.

Start with a vision board, work hard, be kind and do what is necessary to live a positive life where you have a clear path in attaining your goals. I’m not saying the road there will be easy, as it’s usually far from. My optimistic attitude is what has gotten me through some of the most difficult times in my life, and it’s also what helped me create my vision board for a brighter future. I’m on my way to making my vision board my reality, and I hope you are too.
